Stolen Bust of Rodin by Camille Claudel Recovered in France

A rare bronze bust of Auguste Rodin, made by his disciple and lover Camille Claudel, has been recovered by French police more than a decade after it was stolen from a museum, The Telegraph reported. The bust, which was taken from the Museum of Art and Archeology in Guéret in central France in 1999, was discovered in the van of an antiques dealer who had been under surveillance in connection with recent thefts in the Lyon region, and who was arrested on Tuesday with another man. The bust, one of about 50 sculptures made by Claudel, is estimated to be worth between about $600,000 and $1.2 million, according to Agence France-Presse.
