I started a video of the progress of my self portrait in the old studio. Worked the painting up and then moved to my new fantastic space. yes I am so happy with my new studio however I no longer liked how the portrait was looking and I gessoed over it. I'm well into the new canvas and will have it complete soon. This is part one of the painting video.
Here is a glimpse of the canvas now as well as some older pencil sketches.
Amateurs look for inspiration; the rest of us just get up and go to work. Chuck Close

the Last time I saw her eyes
oil on canvas(dyptic)
60 x 100 inches
On a trip to Temagami I found myself thinking of someone who had touched me deeply yet was no longer in my life. It was a wonderful weekend that ended with me feeling grateful for the time I had had with her. She would always be in my life.
Like fire, water invites reflection and thought. It mesmerizes and stops time. I love stopped time.
